Summer's Closing

It's been a hot and then a rainy summer. I took a five day expressive painting class in the Berkshires this summer along with a three day technology class right in Exeter. I'm looking forward to going back to school, but not looking forward to needing to get up early!

FALL 2007

New school year with lots of new and familiar faces! First quarter has come and gone and we are now in the second quarter. Our new home is a great place to be. We had our first field trip to the Pawtuckaway Fire Tower. It was a beautiful day, yet only six students chose to participate. Berwick and Emma joined us on the hike. It was a great day for all those that participated. Thanks Mr. Hall for planning this event for us!

School year is coming to a close. Congratulations to our seven seniors: Dana, James, Miranda, Crystal, Rachel, Emma and Alex, who have earned their high school diploma! I am very proud of each and every one of you.
Next school year we will be in a new building, the old high school. We have been painting our new rooms and, I, for one, am really looking forward to this new space.
Check back often as I plan to update this site over the summer. - Ms. James

January 2007!!!

Hello! We have had many wonderful changes this school year. Let me tell you about a few. We have two new teachers; Ms. Tanguay, who teaches math and science and Ms. Quigley, who teaches history and art. Our third teacher is Ms. Poeleart, who teaches English is our veteran to the alternative program. Our director, Ms. Pelletier is still guiding our program and then, there's me, Ms. James. I did teach mostly social studies the last two years, yet this year I have a new position. I'm the social worker for the program. Students are able to meet with me when they are in crisis, or need support, or just want to talk. Additionally, I meet with small groups of students throughout the week to discuss issues prevalent to teenagers. I began a "quit smoking" group this week for students who would like to consider stopping. And, I am encouraging students in joining me on Mondays from 1:15 - 2:15 to knit. It's been an exciting school year and we have many students doing extremely well.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
