November 3, 2010

Yesterday was Election Day. We kept our Democratic Governor, John Lynch, yet many other positions were filled by Republicans. We finished our first quarter; already 25% of the school year is complete. Amazing! Our English classes have been reading, It's Not About the Bike. It's Lance Armstrong's story of getting cancer and all he went through as he battled this dreadful disease. Our students are in the middle of reading this story. The other classes, science and history, are exploring topics that are related to Lance's story. The students have taken a couple of bike trips; one where everyone had the opportunity to ride and others where students who wanted to ride could. That's been good.
I guess that's it for now. It's time to go home.

Summer's Closing

It's been a hot and then a rainy summer. I took a five day expressive painting class in the Berkshires this summer along with a three day technology class right in Exeter. I'm looking forward to going back to school, but not looking forward to needing to get up early!

The first year at our new school is nearly complete. It's hard to imagine it is third quarter and Spring is on its way.

FALL 2007

New school year with lots of new and familiar faces! First quarter has come and gone and we are now in the second quarter. Our new home is a great place to be. We had our first field trip to the Pawtuckaway Fire Tower. It was a beautiful day, yet only six students chose to participate. Berwick and Emma joined us on the hike. It was a great day for all those that participated. Thanks Mr. Hall for planning this event for us!

School year is coming to a close. Congratulations to our seven seniors: Dana, James, Miranda, Crystal, Rachel, Emma and Alex, who have earned their high school diploma! I am very proud of each and every one of you.
Next school year we will be in a new building, the old high school. We have been painting our new rooms and, I, for one, am really looking forward to this new space.
Check back often as I plan to update this site over the summer. - Ms. James
